The following minimum requirements are necessary as a prerequisite to membership. Failure to comply with these and other guidelines as set forth in our membership agreement may result in immediate suspension or cancellation of your membership in NACWO, which may affect your insurance coverage.
1. Members agree to at all times place participant and staff safety first.
2. All Members, as a minimum, agree to adhere to current Operating Standards and Guidelines (NACWO-OSAG) as well as PWC Operating Standards and Guidelines (PWC-OSAG) while engaged in Watersport rental operations.
In addition, Paddle, Sail, Surf and Motorized Vessel segment operators must agree to adhere to current Paddle, Sail and Surf Guidelines (PSS-OSAG) and Motorized Vessel Guidelines (MV-OSAG) (currently under development)
3. All Member Companies agree to have at least one NACWO registered Rental Operations Manager (ROM) on site at all time during Watersport rental operations.
4. All Members agree to be subject to and cooperate during a compliance program audit and/or inspection, which may include; random, unannounced, scheduled or anonymous site visits by NACWO compliance committee officials or representatives.
NACWO will perform such audits and/or inspections in the interest of identifying compliance with membership safety policies and operating standard and guideline adherence.
5. All operators shall at all time while in operation be required to
maintain valid insurance coverage. The policy shall be written
through an approved carrier and must meet the following minimum
requirements:
a. Must be approved in the state in which operations are
conducted.
b. Must have a current A.M. Best rating category of A
c. Must meet or exceed minimum policy limits as required by
law.
The NACWO compliance program is an integral and very important component of our organization. It is important that all members clearly understand that non-compliance may result in suspension or cancellation of membership.
