The National Association of Commercial Watersports Operators (NACWO) is a newly formed organization comprised of concerned and reputable industry leaders who posses over 100 years of operational watersports experience, and who are committed to the promotion of safety and professionalism within the industry.
After achieving remarkable success in the structuring and implementation of a comprehensive risk management program designed for the commercial parasailing industry, we soon recognized that other segments of the industry could also benefit from such a program. Therefore, NACWO has been introduced to assist operators, insurance providers, and destination industry professionals, by providing a Comprehensive Risk Management Program designed to more effectively manage some of the inherent risks associated with commercial watersports.
NACWO begins by introducing its new program to operators located in the United States and Caribbean. Initially, the program will target the Personal Water Craft (PWC) segment of the market, this will be accomplished through the introduction of a cohesive set of Operational Standards and Guidelines, referred to as PWC-OSAG. In the future other segment specific OSAG's will be introduced in an effort to broaden and enhance public safety. All NACWO members will be required to adhere to these guidelines in order to maintain an active membership in NACWO.
In addition, Paddle, Sail, Surf and Motorized Vessel segment operators must agree to adhere to current Paddle, Sail and Surf Guidelines (PSS-OSAG) and Motorized Vessel Guidelines (MV-OSAG) (currently under development)
NACWO guideline adherence is backed by a strict compliance program, utilizing an audit and inspection team- which currently performs four types of Audits;
Audit types:
1. Unannounced Random Site Audit
2. Scheduled Site Audit
3. Anonymous Participant Audit
4. Phone Inquiry Audit
The NACWO auditing program is designed to foster a proactive, self-regulating approach to risk management and is an effective tool for monitoring member behavior and OSAG compliance within the organization.

NACWO would like to invite all safety minded, professional watersports operators to join us in our stabilization plan. Together, we can move closer to our goal of producing a united team of the worlds top operators and securing our future insurability and livelihoods.
